Question: I feel that the automotive service repair facility took advantage of me with my car repair. Should I call the Bureau of Automotive Repair?
Answer: No. If you are a member of our services and follow our guidelines before or during the auto repair process it should limit these problems before they even happen!
Question: Does you’re business give legal advice?
Answer: No. We are not licensed to give legal advice. However, we are more than happy to give you our professional opinion pertaining automotive services and repair.
Question: Can I call to find out what an estimate would be to have my car repaired?
Answer: Yes. With a membership, we can email an estimate for repairs to you. Only as long as its one of your vehicles on file and what parts and services it needs to be replaced or serviced.
Question: Can you help me buy a car?
Answer: Yes. We can assist you in buying a used or new car, from the beginning to the end if needed. We also offer additional services and savings when purchasing a vehicle.
Question: Do I call you if I’m having problems with my car?
Answer: Yes. We encourage you to call us before repairs are made. This practice will help the communication between you and the shop. Since we are former technicians, we understand the significance of communication. We know the proper questions to ask you and we put your answers in words that not only you understand, but what the technician and service writer will understand. In the many years I’ve worked as a technician, this area of communication is the biggest problem between the consumer and the technician. By using our services, we are able to narrow the gap the communication between the consumer, technician and service writer. This allows us to get to the heart of the problem of the vehicle and greatly decreases the cost of parts and service repairs to the consumer. To sum this all up, our service for you will save you time, money and stress and will take the worries out of having a service like ours to protect your valuable interests!
Question: Do you recommend repair shops or dealerships?
Answer: No we do not recommend repair shops or dealerships. Our position to our members is to represent you and not the automotive repair shop or dealership. Our neutral position allows us to better represent your interests in repairs, service, buying new cars etc. We will never compromise our members’ trust in us. The reason we do not recommend repair shops and dealerships is that many businesses constantly change in ownership, management, or employees. Thus, many automotive repair shops and dealerships services and repairs standards change. Some change for the good and some for the bad. We encourage our members to place a shop referral under our shop referral program on our website. This way other members can give their personal experiences (good and bad of various repair shops and dealerships) and you do not have to test an unknown facility.
Question: My car is at a shop; will you go and check it out for me?
Answer: Yes. Part of our “Optional Services” is our on-site inspections. We usually try to speak with the shop service advisor and/or technician first. If our questions are not answered sufficiently with lucid explanations, then we may suggest an on-site inspection. Remember, we will act as your liaison by evaluating their recommendation of repairs. Many times we competently suggest or recommend other alternatives to save our members from unneeded repairs, services, parts replacement and costs.
